Shafi was born into a Punjabi family in Lahore, Pakistan to actress Saba Hameed and Syed Pervaiz Shafi. She did her A Levels from Lahore Grammar School and graduated with a degree in fine arts from National College of Arts in 2007.

Shafi has done extensive modeling as a child star for multinational brands like Coca Cola, Panda Ice Cream, Fuji Films and local companies Nirala sweets and Bobby Shoes. She made her film debut with Mira Nair’s 2012 Hollywood film, The Reluctant Fundamentalist (based on Mohsin Hamid’s novel of the same name), alongside Kate Hudson and Riz Ahmed. The film describes the bad impact of Americans toward Muslims after 9/11. Shafi played a confident, modern-day Pakistani singer. The film received mixed reviews from critics, and failed to break even at the box office; however, Shafi’s performance was praised by critics.

While talking about her selection in The Reluctant Fundamentalist she said,

“I was selected for the film without audition. Mira Nair invited me to meet her when she was in Lahore scouting for actors. At that time I didn’t even know what I was going to meet her for. But once the role was offered to me, I did not hesitate in taking it up. Opportunity comes, and I’ve been very lucky with that.”

The following year, she starred in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Bollywood film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, alongside Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor. The plots is based on the life of Milkha Singh, an Indian athlete who was a national champion runner and an Olympian. Shafi played the rebellious Olympic swimmer, Perizaad, who was romantically attracted to Milkha Singh. The film opened to critical acclaim and was termed as a huge box office success and was the third highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2013 in India. Shafi earned critical acclaim for her performance.

She then acted in Bilal Lashari’s Pakistani film Waar, alongside Shaan Shahid. The film rank among the currently second highest-grossing Pakistani film of all time in Pakistan. Sanam is British born Pakistani actress who shifted to Pakistan when she was six years old. Vaneeza Ahmed Ali, nicknamed Vinny, born June 29, 1971 is a Pakistani model and actress. Initially interested in medicine with a degree in psychology, she joined modeling as a casual hobby only to be become the face of some of the leading brands in Pakistan. Vaneeza Ahmed was born into a Muslim family in Murree, Pakistan but later she moved to Germany with her parents to study. Malik hosted the Geo TV show Hum Sub Umeed Se Hain, in which she was hailed for her comedic parodies. In 2007, she graced the red carpet event of the Lux Style Awards and was awarded as being the Most stylish celebrity on the carpet.

In October 2010, Malik appeared in the Indian television reality show Bigg Boss Season 4. She was evicted two weeks before the finals, and was one of the final six contestants out of the original fourteen who had participated.

In February 2011, Veena Malik became part of the Cricket World Cup reality show in Delhi, India, called “Big Toss.” Big Toss was a reality game show with contestants and Malik as the captain of one team, against Rakhi Sawant and her team.

In March 2011, Malik engaged in a passionate debate with a mufti, who claimed she had engaged in immoral behaviour as a contestant on Bigg Boss, even though he admitted to not having watched the show. Malik countered pointing out the double standards of Pakistani media against women among other rebuttals.

Another show Veena Malik – ‘Veena Ka Vivah’ was planned where Malik would search for her soul-mate, but the show was cancelled when Imagine TV, the channel on which the show was being shown, announced that it was shutting down. Malik collected almost 71,000 entries from all over the world for the show.

Before starting her career off as an actress, Malik worked as a comedian for several television shows and series. She made her acting debut alongside Shaan and Zara Sheikh in Askari’s Tere Pyar Mein (2000), which was a box office hit. She played a supporting role in the film and was barely acknowledged. Later on, she appeared in a supporting role in Javed Sheikh’s Yeh Dil Aap Ka Huwa (2002).

In 2003, Malik appeared in Indo-Pak cross venture Punjabi film Pind Di Kudi which failed commercially, however, it was the first Indo-Pak venture film with a budget of approximately 70 million rupees. She also appeared in Askari’s Sassi Punno (2003) alongside Sana and Moammar Rana, however the film failed to do well at Lahore’s cinemas and further screenings stopped in cinemas after a week of its release. She then appeared in Rafique’s Jageer. In 2005, she appeared in a short Punjabi film Bau Badmash (2005) which also failed to garner any recognition. Her breakthrough role was in Reema Khan’s Koi Tujh Sa Kahan which was a commercial success in Pakistan.

In 2008, Malik appeared in Rafique’s Punjabi film, Mohabbatan Sachiyan, alongside ex-fiancee Babrik Shah and newcomers Maria Khan and Adnan Khan. The film went on to become a commercial success. The same year, she appeared in Raza’s Kabhi Pyar Na Karna in a supporting role, but the film was a flop. Her last film of 2008 was Altaf’s Ishq Beparwah, which also failed to impress the audience. In 2010, she worked in Rafique’s Main Jeena Tere Naal, and Beyg’s debut comedy film Miss Duniya.

In 2012, Malik debuted in Bollywood with an item song in Gali Gali Mein Chor Hai entitled “Chhanno” which was a big hit. Then in the same month she did another item song “Fann Ban Gayi” in Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya. Then she made her acting debut with a comedy Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai. The film didn’t do well at the box office but Malik’s performance was widely acclaimed. In 2013, her first film was Rajiv S. Ruia’s social drama Zindagi 50 50 in which she played a prostitute. Her bold avatar in film was a big break in her career. The film did average at the box office. She appeared in the music video “Ac Chala Garmi Badi Hai” sung by Sukhdeep Grewal. Then she made a special appearance in Punjabi film, Jatts in Golmaal in an item song “Shabboo”. She then made her Kannada film debut and appeared in Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Hot in which she portrayed the life of Southern actress Silk Smitha for which she gained 5 kg. The film was a hit in the South and her performance was appreciated. Her last film of 2013 was Super Model. She was in an avatar never seen before and shed seven kilos for it. The film won The Most Stylish Film Award on International standards. Malik played a supermodel, a small town girl who manages to get big in the fashion industry. Her last Bollywood film was Hemant Madhukar’s Mumbai 125 KM 3D that released on 17 October 2014. The film was shot using RealD 3D. It was the first time in Malik’s career that she played a ghost.

Malik married businessman Asad Bashir Khan Khattak on 25 December 2013 in Dubai.

Malik has worked as a representative at the World Health Organization for two years. She also sponsors a child at the SOS Children’s Village, an NGO based in Pakistan working with orphaned children. Malik broke the Guinness World Records for getting maximum kisses on her birthday in a span of one minute beating Salman Khan who held the record achieved on the reality show Guinness World Records – Ab India Todega.

In 2012 she was ranked at No. 26 on FHM India’s “100 sexiest women list” which included Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Shilpa Shetty and Sonam Kapoor.

Meera born as Irtiza Rubab born 12 May 1977, better known by her stage name Meera, is a Pakistani film actress, television presenter, model and leading philanthropist. She made her movie debut in 1995, but earned nationwide critical acclaim in 1999 for her lead performance in Khilona 1996–97. For her acting in Khilona she won her first Nigar Award and received significant praise for her work. With the release of Inteha, another critical and commercial success, Meera won the second consecutive Nigar Award for Best Actress of the year for her break-out performance. In 2004, she played a prominent role in Salakhain which lifted her image internationally. In 2005, she acted in a joint Indo-Pakistani film, Nazar with which she debuted in Bollywood.
In 2013 election she announced to launch herself in Pakistani Politics but later she stepped back nominating her mother as candidate for national assembly reserved seat which her mother lost by taking 100 votes only. after this she announced to build a health trust for which she is still unsuccessful.

Meera did her first movie in India, named Nazar which had her as the first Pakistani actress to be seen in India like Begum Para, as well as it was the beginning of the India Pakistan peace talks. Nazar was a film directed by Soni Razdan and it was the first Indo-Pakistani joint movie venture in 50 years. The film introduced Pakistani actress Meera to Bollywood. Her second movie was Kasak starring Lucky Ali. Although Kasak failed critically and commercially, Meera still kept working in Bollywood. Her third film Paanch Ghantey Mien Paanch Crore was an average grosser at the Box Office. The film was not screened for Press and Critics as the director Faisal Saif wanted to show the film directly to the audience.The film managed a decent opening of 50% with its limited cinema release. However, The Times of India listed the film in Bollywood’s Top 10 Bold Films category of 2012.

25- Urwa Hocane
Urwa Tul Wusqua better known as Urwa Hocane is a Pakistani VJ, model and actress. Hocane made her film debut in the 2014 romantic comedy Na Maloom Afraad.

26- Mawra Hocane
Mawra Hocane born September 28, 1992 is a Pakistani VJ, model and actress.

Mawra Hocane was born in Karachi but she grew up in Islamabad where her family was moved and where she completed her pre-medical education from Bahria College. She is currently studying LL.B. at the University College of Islamabad. She is the sister of television actress Urwa Hocane.
Mawra changed the spelling of her family name from “Hussain” to “Hocane” in 7th-grade class to give it a unique spelling. The elder sister Urwa also followed and both have same spelling of their surname in the show business while their legal family name is “Hussain”.
